Its funny cuz I get called out quite often and negged for having views on here. Really though a lot of that is from my father. Older Black generations especially men have very little sympathy and tolerance for young Black fukkery. They don't do all that "but but but but white supremacy" when it comes to illegitimate children (description that is disappearing btw) or violence committed by young Black men, or loud mouth ratchet hoodrats, etc.. The older I get while I try to remain cognizant of the system, my tolerance for excuses decreases at the same time. I'm turning into him.

Watching the news right now and there was a shooting and immediately my father's voice was in my head, "bet it was them n!ggas. Yep! I knew it was them n!ggas! Its always them n!ggas! They'll fukk up a one car funeral!"

*i see very little artistic value in rap...I see COMMERCE not CULTURE....particularly the performances..even the golden era stuff i grew up with....i find they (rakim..epmd....slick rick) they pale in comparison to real performers like Frankie Beverly and MAZE..the GAP BAND....and the legendary MICHAEL JACKSON....

*Everytime im in the mall at the barbershop and watching the young cats wearing some shyt that makes me go

like the flower print jeans or iced out choker chains.....

*also when im in the mall and the first thing i look for after walking to just one store is to sit my fat azz down in one of those massage chairs while my son goes to gamestop

*everytime i see a name of a new rapper called "lil" fukkboy or whatever ...and i just think to myself how long will it be before he gets arrested or shot

*everytime i watch an award show and i find myself saying "Who are these people?" like 3 or more times

*Everytime i see a young person with a tattoo on thier neck..and automatically i think LOSER

When I realized how important the laughter of others and security of family was to me. Becoming my own man made me appreciate him that much more.

When I hit my 20's I really started to look up to him. Hell i'm 30 and I still do.

I listen to the chi-lites and the o-jays because of him. I got into science fiction and comics because of him. I learned a lot about civil rights and took an interest in it.

I'm that man's walking legacy, and couldn't be more proud of it

People been telling me that me and my dad are the same person for years.

One time me and my dad got into a brawl when I was a teenager, can't even remember why it happened. He beat the fukk outta me though. I was in my room lumped up angry as fukk, he walked in the room stares at me and I'm mugging him. Then he says

But I didn't accept it as reality until around 23 to now, when we got really close.

He’s only nine but when I gotta get on his ass for stupid shyt he will come up with all these smart ass ways to be right and he won’t stop. Then I come back and do the same

Also I told wife I know imma have to whoop his ass when he’s older. My dad and me got into it once and he beat the shyt out me. Never told him to go fukk himself ever again though. And me and him are he same

Growing up my dad had the ability to explain white supremacy to me.

He could explain that this country wasn't designed for us to succeed but that doesn't mean we can't.

It's like he had this view that because this country wasn't for us the ultimate way to piss off white people is to be successful.

Nothing makes white people angrier than seeing black men in positions of power they believe they shouldn't have.
