at peak performance I give him 2-3 years from here on, and then the decline will begin. Mind you, like Kobe he will still be an elite player, just not the best or at the level he's playing at now. I don't care how gifted you are or what you're work ethic is, most players cap sometime between 10-13 seasons with their best years being between years 6-12, baring major injuries.

I said the same thing about Kobe back in 2010 and here we are.

He is not going to lose it overnight, I can tell you that much. It will be a gradual decline. Barring a major injury, I think he will be very athletic until about 34. Footwork is part of athleticism and that will continue to get better until he is about 32/33.

I think LeBron plans on playing at a high level until 36. He already takes good care of his body and eats well. His advantage is that he is a heavy sleeper, so his body repairs well. I have a feeling that he will start doing more plyometric training, lose some weight to maintain his athletic ability.
