I just binge watched all 3 seasons over the weekend. I felt the same way you did like what is the big hype about. Was going to stop watching but I forced myself to keep watching. Thankfully I did. Ended up being one of the best shows I've ever watched. Definitely a classic. I turned into a fiend for the show and now I'm fiending for season 4. You'll be proud of yourself if you finish it.

Franklins character growth > the wire

I give the show a solid 8/10 so far, Ive watched first two seasons. The switches in characters can be aggravating because there are times when Franklin's side starts getting interesting and they switch to the novela side of things, but through the switching they did their job as producers and editors to keep you watching. At times the episodes can feel a little too lengthy which caused me to lose interest. The finish of the 2nd season was ehh so one could say there is much to look forward to with the 2020 season.
