the first three fast & furious movies were a perfect time capsule of the early-mid 2000's car culture. I love all three of those movies :ahh:

the franchise really jumps the shark with the fourth film imo. that's when the series starts to move away from street racing & car culture and become more "F" for #Family, OTT action movie type shyt. By Fast Five, Dom's crew are all superheroes punching through concrete and sheit :camby:

NEVER.

I want them to jump an actual shark in the next movie. They'll never be ridiculous enough. All of them are super heroes and the movies are stunt porn and they recruit stars to come and add more juice to them.

They added Brie Larson and she was in Rome the other day at a premiere looking like a SNACK. FF, Mission Impossible, and Bad Boy movies will always be a must watch for me.

Correct. This was it. I remember watching this in theaters and actually saying aloud "GTFO". Just completely ignoring any semblance of physics whatsoever.

It's a fine line for me when it comes to stunts that seem ridiculous but barely believable (Walker running off the bus falling off a cliff and catching a car spoiler in F7) and just straight up impossible (Roman standing in one place shooting 20 soldiers without reloading or getting hit in F9).

Haven't seen any since 2009 and I never really liked them, or the series, but I am in that generation that did, so I saw 3, never saw Tokyo Drift

but just to go see something, nostalgia, wishful thinking, I went to see Fast & Furious in April 2009, and I remember scenes of them "crossing the border" in cars, some ill conceived scheme to use Honda civics to import drug loads and than kill the couriers-----

the southwestern Mexico/US border, which they had recreated as some sort of hollow mountain range, that you could just drive really fast across, and I knew I that these movies just aren't for me.

To me they are getting better and better.

I love that they took a car to space in the last movie after people been joking about that forever.
I keep mentioning them racing in heaven, but I'm not actually joking. I fully expect a scene by the climax of Dom and Brian racing in the kingdom of heaven, and I hope it's against Johnny Tran.

We gonna keep saying this shyt... and in FFX-3: The Last Last Ride, they'll literally have Dom jump a tank full of sharks in a 68 fastback Mustang just in time to stop Letty from plunging into it because whoever Charlize plays was doing her best Bond villain impersonation.

Have we learning nothing from the Car in Space debacle?

We think we're mocking them. We're just giving them ideas to plug into the ChatGPT bot that writes these things now :snoop:
