around the time when he started acting...his pen game wasn't as sharp when he shifted his focus to making movies

everything up to the Westside Connection album was either classic or dope...War and Peace Vol 1 even though it had joints and one of my all time favorite Cube tracks "Ghetto Vet" you could sense he wasn't the same:francis:

Every time this discussion come I swear to god nikkas got another version of Lethal Injection than me. That was a dope album. Is it as good as his first albums? No...but it's a damn good album with multiple classic joints (Really Doe, Cave bytch, GHETTO BIRD, Bop Gun, You Know How We Do It, etc)
:gucci:

After that album? Pick a year and yea, you can say he fell off. But that album was legit.

Legit question...Did you anticipate that album? When the singles dropped where you was like yeah, I'm goin to get that shyt first day it hit the shelves. Me personally it was the first time I ever let ANYTHING Cube related sit on the shelf for a while before I copped. Yeah, we all knew it was Cube droppin, comin off DC, STILL bangin DC, and yeah, LJ was a "good album" BUT......bruh, 93 was HUGE in the amount of bangin tapes that had dropped. I was still playin catch up so many muthafukkin records was droppin, was literally overwhelmed...

Imma ask EVERYBODY in this thread, before LJ dropped at the end of 93' what albums did yall get or was rockin?

That album was trash compared to what came before it.

And....that about sums it up. If it was the debut album of a new rapper it would be a near classic. It's not that "Lethal Injection" was wack, it's just that he had one of the best 3 project runs in history prior to it.
