Wouldn't work because in the 1800's, Grover Cleveland lost the election, then came back and won the election 4 years later. The 22nd and 24th President. So there is precedent for this.

Trump doesn’t have an ideology. He's obviously racist but he's not wedded to any particular line of thinking. Just doing whatever it takes to win.

He says whatever he thinks works. If he had a crystal ball and saw that pandering HARD to Black people and pushing reparations would guarantee he'd win election and escape prosecution..........

Very true. He was pro cutting Medicare and Social Security and switched when he saw no one in the real world supported it. He wanted abortion rights gone and has been backtracking since Republicans have taken heavy losses since Roe was overturned. However he will always sway towards that racist base imo.
