Drake has flashes of greatness but to say he's one of the best rappers? Nah. Also, selling records DOES NOT equal to being the best rapper. shyt Lupe sold less than Drake but if you think Drake is superior to Lupe LYRICALLY you have to be joking. Drake is just above average imo. Not bad but not great. He has a knack for making catchy hooks and when its songs about girls he can deliver but thats really it, unless I'm missing something. When I call someone the best I'm speaking in technical lyrical ability so to me Em, Lupe, Nas nikkas like that come to mind. Drake isn't anywhere near what I like to call the top tier nikkas yet. None of his albums are definite classics and even tho he may be running rap right now I can't say he's the best until he can surpass the nikkas I mentioned before. Just my opinion tho.

You're right lyricism isn't the only thing that matters but to me its the most important. There are obviously other factors that matter I'm not ignorant to any of this shyt all I'm saying is that when I say (insert name) is a better rapper than (insert rapper) I'm talking lyrics. I've only heard one immortal tech song and nah lol I wouldn't call him best at all. Even with the rest of that shyt coming into play is Drake still better than guys like Jay or Nas? I don't even think he's better than Kendrick but thats just me. At the end of the day everyone is gonna have a diff way thinking when it comes to this which is why there will never be a clear best rapper ever. We all have diff opinions on what the best is.

Like, I could understand if Drake dropped wack shyt...but he doesn't.
