I don't get this. I make more and I get more back consistently. The only reasons the amount go down is because I don't get as big a property tax refund since my house is paying down and I paid off my student loans.

idk. different states? i never got a "property tax refund" because in GA taxes aren't based on how much you owe, it's based on the market and the market is going all the way up = more taxes. and i make too much to claim student loan interest, there is a cap on who can claim student loan interest. i have no dependents. something different i tried this year is claiming more than 2 jobs on my w4. i guess they are supposed to withhold more when you do that so maybe i won't owe this year who knows. either way, absolutely zero excitement on my part
