They didn't even own up properly for Owen and dude literally dies in their ring, during their event, and they had more matches on the mat after carting his body off. They ain't taking responsibility for shyt.

They’ll never take responsibility for their part in the deaths of anyone. Yeah they may not have forced them to do steroids, pop pills and sniff coke but they certainly fostered the climate of that behavior.

That climate is everywhere in wrestling. It's worse on the indies than in the bigger promotions. ECW had ten times the drug issues that WWE and WCW had. WWE might of have a crappy wellness policy but there are and were the only ones to actually have one.

The wellness policy is a joke for the most part.

It's on Benoit. He's the one that chose to go as hard as he did and fukked up his mind and body. He was self admittedly near the end of his career and chose to hold onto his spot in the mid card and ECW champ instead of retiring or taking time off to deal with his grief.

WWE deserves heat for the growth hormone culture and the insane schedule and a laundry list of other deaths but Benoit's is pretty unique. I think their schedule is the worst thing they have.

WWE has done a lot of shyt that they have not owned up to but Benoit's death isnt one of them IMO

chris benoit has been roided up for years....i mean for years
chris took all those wild ass bumps in the ring and out which turned his brain to mush
chris, even before the WWE, was always seen as a little off
chris murdered his family due to factors he caused himself not the WWE

even if he didn't kill himself and his family, he was either going to die of a heart attack or become mentally invalid before he turned 50..and it would have been his doing

i did laugh as his death forced vince to kill an angle he was doing completely

I would agree with this stuff. He was roided up his ENTIRE career. Evenhis Stampede days. He also was never not taking awful head/neck bumps his ENTIRE career. Even his Stampede days. He had been doing the diving headbutt his ENTIRE career. He had about 15 years of just destroying his brain and insides before he even got to WWE. You can just take 1995/1996 Nitros alone and there's no way he was going to have a a happy ending.

He was a known weirdo from his earliest days in the business. An additional 7 years in WWE and most of his close friends dying along the way certainly didn't help, but it's hard to pin it on WWE when he had 15 years of the exact same behavior that led to his brain being mush before jumping to WWE.

But yeah WWE won't ever take any responsibility for anything any of their talent does. Even things certainly less vile than murdering your family. The closest they've ever come to taking responsibility for anything is implementing the Wellness Policy after Eddie died and that's hard to say it wasn't PR related.
