Ain't shyt asinine about...DJ Squeeky, DJ Zirk, Blackout, Tommy Wright III and DJ Sound >>>> Havoc If you're familiar with each of their work...particularly when it comes to "dark sounding beats"

I'll admit, i never heard any other Mobb Deep album outside of the Infamous & HOE....but these are supposedly their best work according to coli posters, right?

Comparing the production of both of these albums...to some of the best work of the aforementioned gentlemen...and Havoc is just not on any their level prime4prime...and he's a decent producer.
I cant speak on it...but post some proof

fyi i thought you meant better production period not just dark shyt.
but Havoc is not just decent. he is legendary ..anybody with sense or decent taste knows this

The mobb deep sound represents the essence of 90's east coast sound. Like a snap shot of time listening to the infamous.

Slightly off topic but I personally would prefer to listen to a hard beat and have a decent rapper on it than a poor beat with the best lyrics you've ever heard.

When you hit that that 50/50 split with beat and lyrics it's the sweet spot.

all it takes basically are xylophones and organs and maybe some base guitar to make a track sound evil

In some circles yeah...others nah...just like Squeeky is a legend in alot of circles...and his name didn't ring any bells in others.

Squeeky is so revered in his circles...he's still working with top artists today even though he's been in the game for a good 25+ years...you can count the # of producers on one hand that can say that...contributed to giving 8ball & MJG their early buzz...and helped pioneer a few production techniques that practically everybody in the game uses today...

and in 2016 he's still dropping heat with some of the top guys in the south.

shyt...he's been in WAY more in demand than DJ Paul the past 7-8 years or so...and he came before Paul and helped birth Paul AND Juice....he's been a hotter go to name for production in recent years without having any of the commercial viability or mainstream name recognition that they had...

Before Dolph he worked with Gotti, Jeezy, Gucci/Brickquad & 2Chains on the regular...and before that Pastor Troy in the early to mid 2000's.

Top 5 all-time in book...when it comes to impact, legacy, influence & catalog...Havoc is nowhere close...

There's just nothing extraordinary about Havoc's production to me :yeshrug:

His work on the Infamous was tuff...

but HOE :russell:

everybody i named made better beats than Havoc in their prime
