You have no idea what you're talking about. Just go look at what Rastafarians believe before you talk to me about his beliefs.

:mjlol: I didnt just listen to a song and then decided I knew about his beliefs. Go peep his interviews then come back and tell me what he believed. Again, since you didnt answer, what do CHURCHES LYING have to do with what is written in the bible?

Btw Im not claiming to know him or anything. Im not even THAT big of a fan of his music. I just heard what he believed STRAIGHT from the horses mouth so to say. So I dont have to listen to ONE LYRIC and think that I know what he did and didnt believe. I respect him more for what he stood for then his music which I do enjoy as well. Same with Pac and other musicians that took similar stands to Marley.
but...

now that you know that the preacher is lying :blessed:

Whatever it is you're referring to (Im not even sure you know anymore based on our convo), Im sure Moses was "berating" them for not following God's commands.

Im glad I didnt say such a thing. If that is your belief than that is your belief.

What I do know is that Marley (at least claimed) was a rastafarian. He believed in the bible. So for you to try to tie him into NOT believing the bible because of ONE LYRIC, is ridiculoso lol. It shows that you dont know what you're talking about.

Numbers 31:7

14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army—the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds—who returned from the battle.15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man

And thats the 'tamed down' new international version

Ok so those were the lords words.. and the 1940s aquisition of israel was the lords will?

You probably think dwight howard wrote that tweet accidently too..

Listen to bob marleys music.. all of it.. feel the soul and the rebellion from this forced empire.. stop using interviews to support one of the greatest musicians of all time.. he wasnt sayin 'get up stand up' against the martians

Yep. Moses says God told Him to do certain things and I believe him.You might not, but thats free will.

Concerning Israel, YES that was God's will for that to happen.

Im not sure what Dwight Howard tweet you're referring to. Nonetheless, I dont expect him to hold to a point of view that would detract from his popularity. Let me guess, whatever tweet you're referring to was deleted and then he made an excuse that he was hacked?

I've listened to Marley's music. And its CLEAR that he believed in God. I've explained it already though and you're still running with this sentiment that he didnt believe in the bible? Him rebelling against "the system" doesnt mean he also rebelled against God. I mean his personal life is his so I cant speak to that level of accuracy. But I can speak to his interviews that exemplify HE BELIEVED IN GOD AND THE BIBLE. Rastas (for the most part) believe in the bible.

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks
There is one question I'd really love to ask
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner,
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own beliefs?

You want me to believe his answer was yes?

I want you to believe in God Almighty.

But what connection are you trying to make? Who is the "hopeless sinner"?

:snoop:

It comes down to perspective. From your last few posts, an inhumane act in the name of god is excused, so we already have different ideas of who could be described as a sinner.. but i dont wanna get into all that..

You cant do bob like that though and say it was one lyric, feel free to drop these interviews.. its clear what he stood for and why he would acknowledge the bible or its similarities to most cultures. Its also clear there was a heavy american media influence during his popularity. He wasnt 'free'. You can claim knowledge of his deepest views but you can't deny his art

Most people think great God will come from the sky
Take away ev'rything, and make ev'rybody feel high
But if you know what life is worth
You would look for yours on earth

We're sick and tired of your ism and skism game
Die and go to heaven in Jesus' name, Lord
We know when we understand
Almighty God is a living man
You can fool some people sometimes
But you can't fool all the people all the time

I didnt deny his art. I spoke on his religion. Dont believe me though, go look at it yourself. You'll see that he believed in the bible. there was a leader of Ethiopia (Haille Selassie I think) and him and other rastafarians thought he was prophesied in the bible. They thought he was the messiah. So its CLEAR that he believed in the bible or else he wouldnt have held that belief. Now as I alluded to earlier "babylon" or false churches that lie to their constituents have NOTHING to do with the bible. All they do is teach things in the bible to their own advantage.

Even in your lyric, do you think he's denying belief in God? I dont. I see it as some religious people sit down and wait for their god or saviour to come from the heavens and fix things. So instead of being the change they want to see in the world, they wait and wait for God. While they're doing that the world is getting worse and worse. He has a song called "Jah lives" as well which in their interpretation means "God lives". Simply put he believed in the bible somewhat. Not in oppression that has overtook the world in alot of places with people of color

And since music lyrics mean more to you than the words they spoke:

"I don't stand for the black man's side, I don' t stand for the white man's side. I stand for God's side."

Yes. Anything that happens (in my opinion) happens to the will of God. But lets go with that he was "denying any trace of God in the recreation of Israel" and not settle with you inserting your opinion into his. How is THIS time any different than the time when Moses started the conquering of the land?

The question is, would you stake your soul on it? :mjpls:
