I don't remember her name. But one of the best teacher memories I have is from a 9th grade English teacher. She one day told me that I write really well, and should do writing when I get older, perhaps journalism.

My teachers just told me to try harder bc they knew I could get straight As if I wanted to I just never cared enough to put the effort in
