Puff's deal with Interscope was if he left, he was able to resign all the artists on Bad Boy that he owned the masters to. The only artist that had a different deal structured was MGK, where Interscope had his masters. (Remember at the time of his signing, he had a decent buzz from his Stan fanbase, and the whole white rapper thing must have appealed to them). He is technically still (his label) / Bad Boy / Intercope until his deal runs out, but he's basically an Interscope artist with Interscope distribution and Puff has no day to day dealing with him anymore.
