Back in late September of 2018 I wrote a letter to a woman I have had feelings for over a year. I have had feelings for this woman since December 2016.

After I gave her the letter and left someone told me it overwhelmed her and she cried and was very touched by it. In the letter I told her I would not contact her and she could reach out and that I would move on if she doesn't like me.

But then in October 2018 because of Hurricane Michael causing damage to where I live I was worried and I ended up texting her asking how she and her family was and that I was worried about her. She never responded to my text. To this day I have not heard from her at all. We both live in Americus, Georgia.

I know she has trust issues because her ex boyfriend cheated on her and left her back in March 2015 They had dated each other for four years. Also, she had told me I resembled her ex. Her ex will be getting married this summer to the girl he cheated on her with.

What should I do? Should I give up and move on at this point?

I have never had a girlfriend before so it is hard fort me. She is the first woman to really show me any attention and we used to text each other all the time. Even when I was at work she would text me a lot. I have never had that with any woman before. I feel like there is this void in my life and I don't know if I will find someone like her again. :to::to:

OP..

If you reached out in Oct of 2018 and she hasn’t reciprocated since then, then don’t you think she isn’t interested in you romantically?

Next, how can you have so much feelings for someone who doesn’t even feel you are worthy of a phone call, let alone anything more? Lastly, why do you feel that this person is the best you will ever get when she hasn’t given you shyt but some lil ass attention here and there?

OP, yes you need to move on. It’s common sense! You did your part so now it is her turn..Go out there and start meeting different women. Build up your confidence and learn how to take rejection because it is going to happen more than once. That is a part of life.

Yeah, you should move...

Also, you don't have enough experience with women to think you'll never find someone like her again.

My advice is to be more outgoing so you can distinguish between acquaintances, friends, and romantic interests.

She doesn't even sound like a friend... at best she was an acquaintance.

Damn, I miss the days when men were sweet. Now the men in my dating pool are all traumatized and jaded and shyt.:pachaha:

You sound real sweet hun but I would close that file.

Just remember that if someone wants to be with you nothing is gonna stop them. Anything else isn't worth putting emotions toward. It's a perfect rule to live by when dating.

She’s not interested. If someone can’t be bothered to respond to your text is it really worth it? Sometimes you like someone a lot and they don’t like you back, that’s life. Move on, you’ll meet someone else.

In 2019....
....if someone doesn't respond to your text, they've seen it and decided not to respond

:yeshrug:

Charge that to the game

Yes. You should've already moved on but you didn't know better.

Always be moving forward. Time waits for no man , no broad either. Hopefully you've continued to grow, either mental (education), health (exercise and working out), or financially (saving money).

It's too often than males get hung up on females then just stop progressing. They have some notion that they'll begin to move forward once the female acknowledges them or they start dating or whatever. Life doesn't work like that.

If you haven't moved on, move on. If she comes back she comes back if not. You're not waiting around for something that was never promised anyway.
