I’m conflicted.
Youngin in the streets and he probably got enemy’s. A random guy walks up to you saying “what’s up playboy” like they know you and you don’t know him, it could be a set up.
So he responded with extreme caution.
Old head was just trying to be friendly and was puzzled by the aggression. At that point he should’ve just left it alone. Trying to check someone you don’t know is not logical. You don’t know what they’ve been thru or what they’re going thru.
Then he proceeds to passive aggressively threatens him with a physical altercation.
There was a time when young dudes shoed respect to the old heads. Even in the 90’s. Today is a different breed.

Nah you can show the youth how to be good, ole dude just went about it the wrong way.
Two things: Old head amped shyt up. He is fortunate the "Take the animosity out your voice" didn't lead to the young cat upping on him. Don't do that shyt to random folk.
As for young'n, no words. Don't interact with these cats who are on the block getting loud at phones or people. That kick knowledge shyt only works when they come to you for whatever reason and are clearly looking for it. Old man could have said "You aiight?" and had a dialogue. Young breh likely lives with the head on the swivel and doesn't let shyt slide for his safety.
Long story short, know your audience. That isn't his son or nephew, its a kid on the block. That talking down shyt don't fly when a kid weighing a buck-twenty can up something weighting 20oz and take you off this planet. There is no talking to people who feel they are at perpetual war.
