Yeah it just happens to be worse for us because of poverty and the environment
Yup. It's amplified with us because of poverty and broken homes.

But the mentality is similar.

Even when I was in college, White girls loved the White dudes that were constantly "negging" them or acting like the stereotypical douchey frat boy while the nerdy White dudes either remained single for long or went after Asian women.

What's funny too is that the White dudes that chase Asian women are similar to PAWGers. They claim that their own women have too much baggage and Asian women tolerate nerds more. Go figure.

That being cool doesn't matter at all in the grand scheme of things? This Michael B. Jordan shyt is another reminder that a lot of black people be focused on the wrong shyt.

You think all these billionaire cacs and Asians be on some swagged out shyt? The mfers that's really in power don't need to be "cool". They run shyt.

It's as if being "corny" is the worst thing you could be a certain demographic of the black community. Once many of us realize this, we'll be better off :sas2:

Edit: Typo in the title. I didnt meant to type "the black people" :hubie:
Yes and no

Korea deliberately invested into making their culture cool to the point where they have a significant foothold in the states. Kpop shows do numbers here and you got women learning how to use VPNs to watch Korean dramas:mjlol:

Cacs leverage black cool ALL THE TIME and feast. We have all the cool rappers and they have the money to own them

Don't make the mistake of being pejorative about cool because of black people's misaligned priorities. Cool does matter, but it's what you do with it

Black people make everything cool while reaping the least benefits so the answer would be how do we assess and understand leveraging the cool we already naturally have?

These terms are too subjective. Social media is a loud minority. If people met MBJ in real life I'm sure they wouldn't think he's any different than the average Black man. Well except he's rich and famous and dates dimes.

My definition of cool has definitely changed over the years.

From my teens to my mid 20s, I was stuck caught up on that "real nikka" phase. Running the streets and doing dumb shyt. fukking around with multiple women and no real goals.

From mid 20s to now, being cool to me is taking care of family. Staying out of trouble. Going to school for a higher education. Being drama free. Having a solid ass woman by your side and not fukking around with multiple women. Getting in shape and eating healthy is a plus.

My definition of cool has definitely changed over the years.

And “boom” goes the dynamite.

Being “cool” absolutely does matter. The subsequent question is “What is cool?”
That absolutely does change over time for most people - especially when their idea of
being cool doesn’t hinge on what others’ idea of it is.

Maybe not Asians but White people most definitely think that a man's "coolness" or social status matters especially in younger ages.

That's why you have so many White "nice guys" and incels whining constantly about "Chads", douchebags, and jerks sleeping with all the hot women while they get scraps. Literally half of Reddit revolves around this lol.

Even Elliot Rodger, the incel who did that Santa Barbara shooting, had a whole manifesto where he complained about "cool" guys sleeping with the hot girls that he desired while guys who were "smart and honest" like him got paid dust.

It's not the same dynamic as with Black people but the mentality is the same.

Let's not forget too that Black men can be just as bad if not worse when it comes to shaming dudes for being corny. Even on the Coli, there's plenty of dudes calling other Black male posters and celebrities corny over the most trivial things.

Just look up "J Cole corny" in the search engine and you'll see what I mean.
Huh not Asians?! Lmaoo I’ve seen enough Korean dramas and Japanese anime too let me know that’s not the case. Only outlier might be the Chinese, they actually don’t play those type of games

As a man worrying about being cool, dressing up and having swag is an effeminate mind set.. A lot of brothas picked that mind set up from their mothers smh.. Men should be worried about educating themselves and competing with other groups of men.
if you think having charisma doesn’t matter then u need to read up on antiquitated military/political practices. There’s a reason people love charisma and jive in a leader. Obama is a literal example of this

What yall don't seem to be understanding is what's considered "cool" aka masculine by Asians and whites is alot different than what black people generally consider "masculine". What we consider to be "cool" "masculine" "real" can easily lead to you being in prison, being killed, putting your family at risk to be harmed, etc. It's not the case with other groups. You don't see little Asian kids from the suburbs wanting to be the next yakuza leader at the rate you see young black males from solid homes wanting to be the next big meech.
