This is what happens when you overdevelop land. Species that were hidden come out and go into areas where you would never expect them.

I've been watching alot of youtube videos about FL lizards and iguanas. One of the reasons they said lizards are so invasive is because there weren't alot of native species compared to other places like Cuba. So there was a large void for them to easily fill.

It seems like the moneys are much more monitored and are only in certain places

Florida is basically the menagerie of the U.S. Damn near anything can survive down there. Random fact but there's also a sizable amount of black bears in Florida too. I saw one earlier this year on my way to Orlando
There are also Panthers in Florida and crocodiles. It's the only place in the world you can see alligators and crocodiles
