i was 16 and didn't know artist made music video ahead of time and when i bought this album and the music video came on blew my mind

Looking back almost 30 years later I have to at the theories we were all wrapped up in at the time:

- He faked his death to get off deathrow.
- Him mentioning Suge shot him as the first sound on the album.
- Eventhough he faked his death or survived the murder attempt from Suge, he was still able to release an album on Suge's label and slip in that Suge had him shot.
- He went to Cuba live with his aunt and was gonna return back to civilization in 7 years.
- He had to be alive because of all his unreleased songs.

You laughing now,but you was waiting for that 7 years to pass like the rest of us


And if you believed he faked his death,you also believed "Simon" knew and just wasnt telling. And what about all the 7's

Whaaaaa? Production is unique af, we know the story about 'Pac using the DR B-team on these beats, but they all hit and the sound was cohesive. What beats are mid to you? Just like daddy is probably the worst song on the album but it's still a dope beat.

My only knock is too much fukking outlawz...don't need them appearing on every other song.

It's funny how something can annoy one person while another loves it. I love all the random stuff Pac is yelling and ad libbing in the background on the album, it adds to the mystery of the album to me especially on Against All Odds.

To me this album is kind of like Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska, which he recorded as a demo in his bedroom and then used it even though it had been recorded on a cassette tape. The A-team wasn't available for Pac so he went with the B-team and there's this kind of muddy sound to everything but it works. Other than Toss It Up (which wasn't really intended for the album) and maybe To Live and Die in LA, it seems like he didn't give a fukk about airplay, he had stuff he wanted to say.

I remember when I first played this tape, I didn't know if I liked it or not. It was a lot to take in, plus I was a Nas (the alleged ringleader) fan and I didn't like them beefing.
