Lol the canonization of Bryan is ridiculous. He was super over in a period where WWE's business has been on a steady decline for a decade. People acting like he was bringing in Rock/Austin money because arenas were chanting loud.

There were Zack Ryder and Animal fat heads at the Cavs game. They must be so over because sports teams acknowledged them. Maybe we could build WM 33 around Ryder vs Animal.
Notice when its Bryan its the segments are rated higher even though the whole show doesnt move, anyone else they're supposed to elevate the whole show not just the segments they're in.

First they tried with the Rock..nope..then they had Bryan lose to him and come out the next night and put him over BIG. Fans booed that real hard. And he hasn't been the same ever since it became OBVIOUS they wanted the guys that the fans LOVED to try to cheer for him..that comes off like someone who hasn't earned anything. It's not how fans got behind Warrior, Hogan, Rocky, Austin, Eddie, Sasha, Christian, Matt Hardy, AJ Styles, Cheerleader Melissa, Chyna, Razor/Hall, Nash, Goldberg, etc.

I love how you just slipped that in there. :lolbron:

I'm surprised you didn't make a Jumping Bomb Angels reference.

Cena has taken 11-12 clean losses in since 2005. That is quite a lot for a guy who everyone claims "never loses clean". Roman hasn't taken 1 in 3 and a half years. And Roman has been booked like :cape: since he debuted, so the whole "Champion is supposed to be booked strong" is a load of crock shyt, cause he's always been booked strong with or without the title.

And what people don't get is we don't want Reigns losing and jobbing every 5 minutes like Rollins, but nor we do we want him to be booked like Hogan in the 80's; a nice healthy balance works. Rollins's problem with jobbing every week was it wasn't even dirty or screwy, he was literally getting pinned CLEAN week in week out; terrible booking...... yet he's one of the most over wrestlers on the roster? What does that tell you? :yeshrug:

There really isn't a balance. A top face has to win all the time. A heel can lose a lot and still keep his heat by cheating and doing dastardly things. A face who loses even half the time looks like a loser.

The real solution is to book him in LESS matches in general. Your top guy shouldn't be wrestling on TV every week. Of course people are going to get sick of him winning all the time when they see it 9 times a month. It took 8-9 years before people really started getting sick of Hogan, and that's because he only wrestled on PPVs and TV every few months instead of twice a week every week and then at the monthly PPVs.

Anyone in the top face spot is going to get people booing after a couple of months. The internet was already starting LOLBRYANWINS stuff when he actually started winning matches.

TLDR: The booking of a face to always win isn't the problem. Overexposure is.

All I'm saying is that the idea of a champion being "vulnerable" is stupid, especially in recent years.

While the talent on the roster is really fukking high right now and it makes me excited, the truth is barely any of them can actually be seen as credible.

Could Reigns not be painted as an unstoppable monster who doesn't take Ls? Hell yeah, but who the hell is gonna pin him? :lupe:

I can count the number of people who could pin Reigns clean and it be believable due to booking in the last year on one-hand. :mjlol:

Cena
Orton
Brock

I'm talking about Singles matches with no fukkery.

I'll be honest, I don't believe tag matches mean jack shyt to a WWE champion, and them getting a win or loss just doesn't matter. :manny:

I know in the bottom of my heart that Styles is just gonna be used as enhancement talent, and he won't pin Reigns clean, and not even dirty if we really gonna be honest with ourselves. :manny:

Rollins ain't beating that man without some sort of fukkery going on. :francis:

I mean...obviously no one was beating Hogan clean until Warrior showed up. No one in the Attitude Era seemed like they'd be beating Austin clean. That's just how it works. A top face should almost never lose clean unless it is to truly put someone over and pass the torch, or build a new dominant heel like with Vader beating Sting in WCW.

Who is the top guy again? Sure seems like it worked.
It's scripted they could literally write anyone they want to be the top guy
Which they do considering their top guy gets booed out the building and they still push him to the moon

WWE had their most financially successful year ever with Cena at the top of the card as a dude who was getting booed out of the building despite being the top face.

U work for wwe?
U got that cape on mighty tight in here
:cape:
Now imagine if they pushed the people the fans naturally get behind the way they do their chosen ones and how much money they could bring in

I sure don't, but I feel like it was maybe 2007 (maybe 2006 or 2008) that WWE had the most financially successful year ever, and that was with Cena as his most hated.
