I remember playing NFL2K for the first time on Dreamcast.

Was absolutely floored. I think me and my potnas played that jawn non-stop for about 72 hours straight, nikkas only paused to get food. :pachaha:

Yeah. I had Dreamcast as well. It was beyond anything you'd have expected at the time. I had NFL 2K and NBA 2K. My grandfather had came over one day and asked who's playing because it looked that real at the time.

I think mechanically 2K was/is still more advanced than modern day madden games.

Did you have the VMU? You could take your memory card out and raise some of the animals and play little games on it to make them strong and when you put it back in the progress uploaded to the game.:wow:

Damn, thinking back Dreamcast was so dope.

To answer the question, Dead or alive was a moment for me. Where i was like what the fukk are these graphics.:whoo:

only other time was Gears of war 1.

A year or two after gears was released when playing online I would stop and just look around.

Be over there like :whoo: getting shot and shyt.

Recently:
The Last Of Us 2.

The past few years, most every big console exclusive has really impressed me visually.
Spiderman
God Of War
Gears Of War 4 and especially gears of war 5.
The Order 1886
Halo 5 (mainly the cutscenes !)
Forza Motorsport 7
Uncharted
Ryse

Third Party Games:
Every resident evil title released this generation. Insane and the speed they run
at while looking that good is completely ridiculous.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen order (really looks great and the character work is phenomenal)
Control
The Witcher 3
Metro Exodus
Doom & Doom Eternal

There are some other games slipping my mind but there were a few games that I played day one and immediately
said "Yeah....this is some other shyt...."

Timestamped :mjcry: wasn't extremely technically impressive, but that was as close to a movie opening as I've played. Even though it closed it out, it was a damn good showcase. A moment in gaming for me

Spider-Man Miles Morales - Going from 30 to 60fps. And i’ve been playing 60 and up on PC since 2015. But i never went from 30 to 60 on PC. Nobody on PC does that willingly. Going 30 to 60 on the fly in MM hits you hard. My jaw dropped. I literally kept saying wow. Huge difference.

Astro’s Playroom - There are vibrations before you press start at the beginning of the game. After pressing start i was :shaq2: “these vibrations ain’t all tha-“ (pressed up/down through the main menu, and went to start a new game, “:picard::ohhh::gladbron:Yo these vibrations kinda puchy/strong:pachaha:”. After playing for 30 or so minutes i was wowed even more. I was not a believer of the Dualsense until i tried it. All my doubt ended that day, period.

The Last of Us Part. II - I was already hyped when the game unlocked at midnight. Riding through that field with Joel in the beginning i wasn’t wowed, but i was impressed with how beautiful it looked. Right around when you play as Abby in the snow, and she’s running:wow:I’ve seen the gameplay videos, and all that before the game released. But when you’re the one playing it, and you see how fluid the animations are, and with a snappy response (unlike rdr2) from the controller :banderas:The facial animations, and acting was amazing as well (all still the beginning of the game). That scene where Ellie has a black eye, talking to Tommy. I’ve probably never seen a video game character look so believably distraught, and broken. ND squeezed extra juice out of the ps4 in the 4th quarter (11th hour).

NBA 2K14 - That LeBron trailer, that generational leap, nuff said.

Dead Rising 3 - Seeing so many zombies on screen with sharper/better graphics had me :gladbron:

Playing through Act 2 of Ghost right now. I was impressed with how vivid the graphics were. Not really wowed.

forgot what game but seeing fire look real in ps4/xbox one era made me instacop :russ:

playing the first ghost recon on xbox 360 had me like :blessed:

sega saturn had me feeling myself

dreamcast with the playable memory card had me looking at everyone like peasants

lowkey the least talked about feature was actually getting a real surround sound hooked up to a console... that was a huge gamechanger. I think ps2 I started using a 4 speaker oldschool stereo setup

another feature nobody talks about is on one of the 2ks .... you could load in songs and customize your themes for arena music... I went through and edited realistic shyt into every single arena and changed all the players shoes and outfits... have like Freeway Roc the mic for Philly arenas and E-40 for the bay ... shyt was amazing

Series X loading times are godly.

I play Borderlands 3 with my brother and there's a loading screen with Claptrap walking across the screen. My brother is on the One X. He said Claptrap goes across his screen 20 times before it loads. He goes across my screen 1 1/2 times!!!!

I have to wait for him because he hasn't even gotten to the start screen and I'm in the level, spawned a vehicle and waiting. :wow:

The other is Game Pass.
Microsoft nailed Netflix for games. A ridiculous amount of games and a large number of great ones. Not just indie garbage. The ease of installing and playing. I can't believe I can play Control, Destiny 2, Rainbow Siege etc. etc. etc. without having to buy each game.
