Even if people disagree with Paper Trail being T.I.'s best, it's easily his biggest. That album was huge. "Whatever You Like" set some kind of a record for making the biggest leap to #1 , then "Live Ya Life" came and broke that record. Then "Swagger Like Us" peaked at #5 . Then there was "Dead and Gone" which peaked at #2 . T.I. was performing "Swagger Like Us" on the Grammy stage with Jay Z, Kanye, Wayne, and a pregnant M.I.A. The same night at the Grammys, he performed "Dead and Gone". Paper Trail went 2X Platinum and only Wayne was a bigger rapper than T.I. at the time.

Trap Muzik and Urban Legend had me seeing TI in another light, then the flash-in-the-pan rapper, I thought he was :obama:

Funny thing is tip is still on top of his game but he'll probably never release an album like king ever again

He has a song with Travis Scott out right now called Animal. Ti destroyed that beat :whew:

I must be in the minority but I really dug TI vs TIP. I bumped that still to this day over Paper Trail or King

He was in his prime RIGHT before he went to jail, when he blacked out on those Dr. Dre Detox reference tracks.

To me, his prime was Trap Muzik to King. I'm Serious was like his rookie season, fits and starts but he showed potential on that joint, then he came back like Darrelle Revis in his second year (dominant from that point forward). Trap Muzik is a classic album, Urban Legend was dope, TI v TIP was solid, King was dope and Paper Trails was a quality joint too. That's his prime and it started with Trap Muzik to me.

King is better then 80% of the albums people call "classic" on here.

Real talk. I feel like the only reason it isnt so respected is because of its mainstream appeal. But even the singles were undeniable. :snoop:

Even tho Trap Muzik is his best album I'd still say TI's prime was 06

Kings a classic and his most polished release but he was still floatin all over those tracks rappin his ass off, he was the biggest rapper that year. Killin all his guest spots too, even the commercial ones like My Love :whew:
