I personally think its a waste of money to pay over $100 for some headsets just to listen to mp3s...the quality isn't there to be heard in a compressed format like that.....But that's just me....
Ive tried skullcandy and bose, they sound good, but not as good as my studio beats. until someone makes a better sounding and better looking headphone, they aint going anywhere. thats why every rapper in the world is trying to put out headphones and nuone of them are seeing the same success.
EXACTLY!!! Yall just want to be different. Ive never seen these so called elite headphones in like best buy or somewhere.
Those sound horrible I bought a set before. maybe for your kids as cheap headphones.![]()
$14.99
And call it a wrap, fakkots![]()
You really think the studio beats sound good?
They sound like garbage for the price. All you hear is bass, and some highs, but the mids are so low, and when people say their words with the letter s in them, the s sounds harsh. If they were around $30-$50 I wouldn't care but for over $300, hell no.
BTW, has anyone heard the Audio techinica's solid bass?. Let me know how they sound
Specifically the ATH-WS77
Now thats the first respectable argument ive heard...I personally think its a waste of money to pay over $100 for some headsets just to listen to mp3s...the quality isn't there to be heard in a compressed format like that.....But that's just me....

If you want a more flat sounding. I think an issue you may run into with some audiophiles and their headphone suggestions they may not take into account the uses of different headphones. A decent number of audiophiles are probably producers and/or engineers and the way they use their headphones for those purposes arent the same as what your regular listener use them for.
I would say this, Im not a big fan of the beats solos

Lol @ rocking headphones
That shyt is for lame hipster trend followers

All that may be true but to topic was asking why beats are still popular, so the answer is they look good, they have a good cosign/marketing and they actually sound good for rap music. The price is almost irrelevant, you see how much jordans cost? So until someone does all three of those things better you will continue to see beats succeed.......I actually have a pair of these coming in the mail. Hope they dope, my last Senns broke
I come from a family of DJ's so having headphones just a part of the way I was raised fam. Always thought it was necessary for nikkas to have an assortment of headphones. Casual in-ear buds to over the head joints used for listening, a pair for DJing, and another pair for editing music.
You'd be surprised at how many headphones you pass up checkin solely for Beats all day, and usually it's the affordable versions of headphones posted in this thread that be in those stores. However, if nikkas wanna start getting deep in the headphone game, they not gonna keep checking Best Buy and Wal-Mart for the best quality products, and they def probably gonna be moving up from mp3s(cause buying 300 dollar headphones claiming to want good sound quality, only to bump mp3's is kinda hustling backwards.)

What's funny is that it is because of brainwashing, that it's popular. They cost a lot because of the marketing, not the sound. It cost to have popular people wear your product and have it seen all over media. I'm not mad though because, it made other companies step their game up and offer better headphones at a cheaper price. for 7 bucks >>>>>>>
Now I do agree that they cost too much, but so does everything... But I do think they sound pretty good, and they dont seem like they are cheapWhat's funny is that it is because of brainwashing, that it's popular.
