Let me clarify though, I don't think being religious is the issue, the issue is a lot of us thinking that being religious is going to somehow magically change things. You can be religious without being docile. We're too docile. There are many cacs who go to church but they still have the "white first" mentality. We go to church too but think doing whats best for us as black ppl is wrong somehow, we always wanna play fair and try to see the "good" in everybody and are too gullible, and submissive. There are dudes who swear "other minorities" love us for example and will defend them when they don't even hire nikkas in their businesses like that

Also the issue is those with the funds who can afford to start small businesses together, rather floss and stunt with the money instead (I know some personally). I started a business mainly because I knew other black ppl need it.

I never understood this. My mother will say stuff like "You don't know what God has for you".

I was raised Christian, Catholic actually. I believe in a God but I battle the concept of a "Christian" God.

So I don't subscribe to the Southern Baptist / Evangelical Christian mindset many Blacks share in the US. I always felt God/The Universe/Whatever imbues you with powers to make change. Not doing anything and being passive is the wrong approach.

While I agree the modern black church has been co-opted and generally does more harm than good, we can't act like there is no value in the bible, particularly the old testament. That's our history book.

There's a reason today's black pastors rarely preach from the old testament, they would lose their tax exempt status if they started preaching the accountability, eye for an eye, healthy living, and just plain common sense advocated in the OT. The new testament is very shaky in terms of who wrote it, and its message of "do whatever you want to do and god will still forgive you" promotes all kinds of debauchery

The bible was altered it lost its truth, but the Quran is completely unchanged

Those who were arrogant will say to those who were oppressed, "Did we avert you from guidance after it had come to you? Rather, you were criminals."

Quran Surah 34:32

Spot on accurate prediction 1400 years ago describing the oppression of today :banderas: :mjcry:

I kind of get sick when something terrible happens to us and everybody runs to the church and says something like,

"Don't worry, God is going to see us through and will take care of our oppressors"

Then we just sit around and wait and keep turning the other cheek and saying the same thing over and over

Speak for yourself.

Pan Africanism
If slavery and centuries of systematic oppression didn't show em nothing will

Follow the religion of your oppressors brehs
I thought cacs were originally pagan worshippers? Also, Abrahamic religions came from the middle-east. There were Blacks in the middle-east besides Arabs.

We live in a fallen dark world, (which the bible tells us)....which we are held captive in (which the bible tells us)......where we suffer as Jesus did (which the bible tells us)....but u don't understand so u spout nonsense on a forum like the coli and think you throwing stones at God and those who follow.

Your thoughts/comments are less than a drop in a bucket breh...(along with the rest of you who don't believe). You simply don't believe what YOU DONT UNDERSTAND:francis:

Your sentence structure sucks

Aside from that....non believers are always seeking proof as though you all are special in some way that you deserve or are due proof from God of his truth. :childplease:

Proof is given to the believer and follower of faith. Your non belief negates your assumed privilege of proof:rudy:

In short....nobody sweatin u enough to make u believe, myself or God:camby:
