He has been taking the 2 year extensions waiting for the supermax to come
At somepoint he should get into a contract. These two year deals can backfire once he loses his step. No guaranteed money at that point.

If he takes a 5 year 200 now he will be set going into 38 years old. Father time will catch up.

Better than him doing a two year next year at 34 and he loses his step by 35.

He can't get one unless he extends with Cleveland or has them S&T him where he wants to go

He will be 33 this year and he has already lost his step defensively.
He still needs that max deal though, if anything the Cavs need to break the bank open for him on some Kobe respect level deal shyt even if he does become washed.

He knows the minute he does the team he's on will never be able to fill out the rest of the roster

LeBron didn't lose a step defensively, he simply stopped putting forth real effort.

You guys are funny. LeBron is basically on a Kirk cousins like situation where he gets more by not signing the long-term. Why? The cap keeps going up each year.

Y'all don't remember ESPN having stories on how smart LeBron, wade/etc were because they could get more money if they waited? Cleveland is already over their limit NOW. He still getting paid top dollar, just not the max
