Everything that Waston is running is out of the zone running scheme. Play action is a main cog of that scheme. He’s a taylor made West Coast QB and you didn’t watch him at Clemson because he did indeed succeed at the intermediate throws and those throws were mainly to Hunter Renfrow.

No I did. And I saw his receivers making incredible catches all the time cause his accuracy was subpar.

Right now Watson has been lucky. I watched his game against the Chiefs closely when he threw 5 TDs and the media went crazy over it. I actually thought his performance that day was TERRIBLE. He got a bunch of empty stats when the game was decided. And he also got lucky on a bunch of deep throws that were made in desperation because the Chiefs were ahead by multiple scores.

When the game was competitive and there were normal plays being called and the Chiefs defense wasn't in prevent cause they had a 2 TD lead, Watson was absolutely terrible. His accuracy was bad. Especially on 3rd down.

Irrelevant? He didnt SHOW UP when the lights got bright?

So again, we acknowledge Luck was injured but dont acknowledge Kaep was injured (I mean he did have surgery and who gets surgery if nothing is wrong with them)? Thats an excuse thats funny in the light... stop it fam.
If a team has a bad defense, you cant be out here throwing pics.

Use he legs differently? The last 3 years just like the Seahawks the Niners had one of the worst lines too and any qb that was back there had to run for their lives as well. Gabbert almost got KILLED a few games last year.

At the end of the day, it helps to make more than one read when you have a little bit of talent to throw to and just a little bit of help from your line.

Dude, I acknowledged that he's not a top 5 QB. I dont know what else you want from me. I just feel that he's better than what people are trying to say he's is and trynna say he was the product of bad teams. Cuz again if he was the sole problem why are the Niners 0-6 and why were they 4-9 with him now playing?

If he is so terrible why is a guy that has a record of 9-31 still in the league with a job? Hoyer isnt considered a "One Read QB" but has a career record of 16-21 and has far inferior overall stats.

How do we justify that and say "oh but that is better than what Kaep can do"

This is an example of why he possibly only makes one read at times.

Here are examples of him making more than one read

A lot of the knocks about him are exaggerated, when he has the time like many or any other QB he will go through his progressions, but when not he will either get the ball out his hands or take off

Martha

Breh, "one-read" is akin to "Black QB's are dumb". We ONLY hear this about black QB's. And we got nikkaz here running with the same rhetoric.

Watson just following the legacy of Vince Young and RG3.

Killer rookie year then fades to nothing.

I think Watson will be better than those guys after this year. But he ain't no savior at Houston. He's at best gonna be an average starter.

Yea cuz Dobbs gonna be dominating the league....

Here’s a secret

Everyone !!!!!

is a single read qb

Most qbs either rely on the play to manipulate one to two options open, or pre snap reads, like a safety cheating, or lb cheating to tell them where to throw, and the audibles are check with me at the line type, like if the cb is 5 or more yards off, hit a smoke screen, or if the line is overloaded to one side, they will do a run away from it.

I’m not minamalizing or marginalizing a qb

But the good ones know what the defense is running, and take what it gives them

Look Watson is lights out right know, he’s playing well, but year one a lot of qbs look good, holla at me Years 2-4 when defenses have tape, when they have the full playbook and are expected to expound upon their skill level,

Kind of like cam, he was good, then disappeared, then had the breakout season, now he’s mid level, is he a bum, no, but he’s not playing all world either

Let’s slow down on fitting Watson for his gold coat just yet, but I hope he thrives and does his thang

Yea, I hate that term for so many reasons. A lot of QB's have half field reads where there's only 2 options. Some only have 1. OLine play helps as well. You're not going to go through all you reads while being pressured instantly. There are many factors at play and yet lazy people just put it all under one umbrella.

Nikkaz play too much madden.
