One thing that strikes me as really odd is that most of you that own a PS4 admit that it's lacking in games (who wouldn't?), yet you bought the console at launch knowing you were only going to get another average corridor shooter by the name of Killzone Shadow Fall at launch, unless y'all bought it for NBA 2K14 thinking it was going to be the be-all-end-all of sports games just because it's next gen - or some other silly reason. Another odd thing is that most of you bought a PS4 when the PS3 still has a great library of games. I'm pretty sure PS4 owners haven't played every great PS3 game out there, that's impossible even if you keep up with every game, every month, of every year; there's a lot of gems out there on PS3 that I'm sure more than half of you have never even heard of, let alone played a minute of. And I bet you guys went back to your PS3 after you got a PS4, unless you didn't have very many PS3 games to begin with, and if that's true, then I don't know what to say. Why did you buy the console in the first place?

You see, I could go out and get a PS4 right now or order one off Amazon - and I really wish I had a reason to, but logic tells me to wait since there's nothing of note for it that I can't already play on my PS3. That's even the case for the Vita in a lot of ways, barring games like Conception II and Zero Escape, but that's a different topic altogether. That's why those who still have a PS3 should just cherish it for as long as they can and not be in a rush to jump into the next console generation, because you'll regret throwing down that much money that early for very few legitimate reasons, if any at all.

cause theres no reason not to unless you think a price drop is coming. by the time there's a price drop there's going to be games i definitely want a next gen system for (arkham knight).

I have a ps4 and a ps3 and my ps3 has been used very little since I got the 4. Just cause there's nothing YOU want to play on ps4 doesn't mean the rest of us aren't enjoying our 4's. There's plenty of good games on the 4.

And also why exactly did you single out the ps4 in this thread?

Fair enough.

All three next gen home consoles are struggling and have yet to reach their full potential, but the amount of Sony stannery and biasedness on this board is disturbing in the very least, like a person isn't allowed to criticize anything Sony makes. I've been a Sony fan from day 1, bought the Playstation, PS2, PS3, and PSP all within the first few months they came out, so I should be allowed to say whatever the hell I want to say when the company is slacking. I'm upset because the company is keeping me from supporting them when I clearly want to. Sony is usually my go-to company for gaming. I was never big on Nintendo until fairly recently - and even so, I won't buy every good game they make just because it gets great reviews, and Microsoft isn't getting a dime out of me this console generation, so all these allegations of me being a "troll" can be put to rest. Come over and see how big my Sony collection is and then call me a troll.

How can a system be "struggling" 4 months out?? It's selling like hot cakes, just had a dope exclusive drop a month ago, has a great exclusive baseball game coming out next month and then throw in the superior multiplats, indies and crossplatform games and the system has plenty for early adopters. Games take time to make, you rather a rushed piece of :trash: come out just so you can say you have the latest game or you'd rather wait for a quality game?? Driveclub for example, was going to be a launch game and it got delayed. It's better that the game gets delayed and come out months later with much better potential. I wished Uncharted 3 didn't come out Nov.1 2011 and be the worse uncharted out just so they can have a new game out. That's worse in the long run because you essentially are paying for a rushed job and you have to wait months for patches to fix it. Look at how ND took their time with The Last of Us.. See how that came out?? Game was virtually flawless.

Sony stannery?? @MeachTheMonster ??? :leostare:

So tell me, how are they slacking?? So because games are coming out now and throughout the rest of the year, but particularly not in your interest that's slacking?? Lemme guess, Uncharted 4, TLOU 2, The Order 1886, God of War 4 and new IP's should've dropped ALL withing the first few months?? :stopitslime: You can say whatever the heck you want, just don't expect to say silly stuff and not get checked for it. Also E3 is right around the corner... Did you already see what's coming out?? It'd be funny if they just dropped a few more big titles out of nowhere for release later this year, would that quell your apparent hunger for "games"?

Then don't support them. I don't get why people make a big fuss about simple shyt like a system launch. if it has no games that YOU want to play, then wait until a game you want comes out. Complaining about it, attacking others for not having the same opinion as you is stupid since it essentially does nothing. You think it sold 7 million consoles because people wanted to look at it?? It's got games obviously, just not the ones you particularly seem to care about. PS4 will be around for maybe 5-6 more years... You gotta look at it like this, you're paying $400 for a system that will continue to be supported for that amount of time. You won't have a PS5 dropping anytime soon breh.

You've made valid points I can get down with, and yeah, I do expect E3 to silence me because, although right now the system has superior versions of multiplats, the fact that the majority of those multiplats are already on PS3 would make my PS4 purchase feel like a waste at this moment. When the console finds a comfortable release groove, and fun looking exclusive games that can't already be experienced on the PS3 or 360 start coming out for it on a monthly basis, I'll have no reason to complain, and a good reason to purchase one. So yeah, I'm glad we cleared this up and I made my intentions clear.
