When will the PS4 get its first great exclusive game?

Second son and 2k look like the same games but with graphics pcs have been churning out for five plus years. Thats not next gen. Thats a graphic upgrade from old hardware.

That is next gen. It's not possible to do this on old gen hardware. PC's don't have "gens" so it's graphics would always be able to make current gen look outdated at some time.

Plus honestly there's no PC game I've played yet that has particle effects as good as Infamous SS imo in an open world setting.
Every gen is just upgraded hardware. People always say, "You could take this out and it'll be last gen.". You'd have to take out virtually everything about the game to get that. shyt The Order 1886 screams next gen.

Eh it's true, infamous is good, really good, but not a classic.. Story coulda been better

Killzone is good, not bad but definitely nothing crazy.. Story coulda been better too

As far as multiplats all look pretty good but none are straight up classics

But how many consoles dropped classic games within 6 months of its release

Let the developers figure out the hardware

Because its the same old shyt. Next gens have always been about furthering gameplay. Pushing the gameplay to do what wasnt possible before. Shinier graphics and sequels is not next gen.

Theirs no game out right now making people buy it en masse.

Infamous Second Son got a lower rating than the first two because after 8 years of gaming on one gen, reviewers are already used to a particular type of gameplay. They ignore that Infamous 1 came out in 2009, 3 years after that gen started. Second Son dropped a few months after the new gen started so it's pretty safe to say it's not going to break new grounds. It's already got great foundation. New engine, better graphics and technology isn't made over night. I guarantee you had Infamous Second Son been a new IP and Infamous was never made on PS3, it would've had a higher reception imo.

I disagree. This line right here is what I have a problem with. Plenty of other games do the "same shyt" in each new iteration yet they get a pass for it but for some reason it seems like Sony franchises get held to a completely different standard. I mean, I played three and it's better to me than the first two. Gameplay isn't the ONLY thing that makes a game good. All this "next gen gameplay" nonsense is just a buzzword. It's not a real thing. This expectation of "next gen" gameplay is what will lead to lower review scores.

As for Killzone, it did do things differently, it just wasn't that good. If KZ was as good as KZ2 with a prettier skin, i'd be content with that.

Yup. Good thing I played Infamous before it was officially out so my opinion was pure before going in. Some cats go in playing a game with a number in their head and going, "Yea, this is a 3/5 game.".
