When will white Americans stop overrating Buddy Holly?

Man, I saw them on a whim after a food festival with my ex girl. They sold out the entire Rockets stadium. It was actually really good. I was surprised :ehh:
Weezer was actually my first concert ever on halloween 2009.

I’ve seen them like 7 more times since then.

Buddy Holly was cool, i’m a huge Richie Valens fan. Big Bopper was cool too.

I remember when Aaliyah died.

Disagree.
Rock was the emerging dominant music of that decade, and was fueled by its popularity with the youth market.
3 rising talents dying at the same time tragically would have been a big story. Especially in a world where there were fewer star acts with hit records.

I dont know whether it was real or myth, but I read that Holly had a decent showing and reception at the Apollo. If the story is true, that stamp would mean a lot.

theres a buddy holly movie where GARY BUSEY plays him. its ok. the apollo scene is bs though, it took them a few shows before the black crowd liked them

heres the apollo scene from the film. THE FILM (moron who posted it posted it like it was real footage lol)
