It's not even whether fast food is addictive..., it's expensive. I don't have money for it.
Crockpots and rice cookers will save your life.
Whether you eat meat or not.
Veggies are mad cheap. The $5 you spend on one meal can be three meals if u shop at the local farmer's markets.
Curry dishes, stews, meatballs, different sauces...
I don't even get my kitchen dirty. Dump the veggies in the crockpot with whatever broths, or sauces you want and meat if you want.
Walk in the house to instant dinner. My friends be coming over like "what's in the crockpot tonight!"
Spicy Chinese eggplant with tofu and rice
Japanese curry veggies and beef
Lentil soup
Swedish meatballs
Beef stew
Crockpot lasagna
Stewed buffalo chicken or seitan
Creamed spinach
Thai green curry veggies with tofu
Gumbo
Tomatoes and roasted red pepper soup
Crockpot chili with baked potato and broccoli (can be vegan as well)
Tikka Marsala
Hell I don't even fry stuff anymore to avoid mess.
Tonight is herb baked chicken, yellow rice and loaded Greek salad.
Yellow rice in the rice cooker.
Season the chicken and put it in the oven.
Lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes, French onions, feta cheese, pepperocinis, cucumbers, red peppers and Greek dressing (oil, vinegar, cheese, seasonings, garlic, minced onions, parsley).
Way more cost effective. I'm excited b/c I'm starting my patio urban garden this year. It will be so cool to go on my patio and pick the veggies I would normally have to shop for!
