The recent Dolph/Rusev feud was so bad that it stalled/ruined the careers of all 4 individuals involved :smh:

It really did. I was starting to jump on the ziggler train and that totally killed it for me

Papa Shango for me. Dude should of finished his career with that gimmick. Godfather and the pimp shyt destroyed that guy for me :mjcry:

This is a weird one to me... if you hear wrestlers and dirtsheets tell it, Papa Shango was a farce that never properly got over.... Wrestling Observer gave it a Worst Gimmick award and he was only given about 18 months.

Ask wrestling fans at the time, especially ones around my age (I was about 10 when Papa debuted) and they'll say Papa Shango is one of the strongest and scariest memories of the mid 90s. Probably the only wrestler I ever had a genuine nightmare about. That shyt with Warrior vomiting that black gunk up? :damn::damn::damn::damn:

Industry folk always say Godfather saved him, but I'm with you... it was cheap as fukk, especially when I realised who he used to be.

ya i never knew godfather was papa shango, i was way too young and then i stopped watching before he came back with that gimmick but then i noticed all the tats and got very upset :to:
ive read papa shango wasnt over but thats just the equivalent of internet trolls of today. Papa Shango cut some of the grestest promos of all time, that gimmick was legendary. His warrior feud was top 10 status

not to mention he was always one of the better characters in any game

Which was dope when he first came back until they gave rhe rumble to sheamus...

That end of the world jericho gimmick could have been special

Instwad we got another straight edge cm pubk foe

I remember dudes on wrestlingforum writing essays about what his silent return meant lol..and now Stephanie would be the little girl in the vignette. They also wrote script sized posts about what those vignettes meant..and in the end WWE didn't do shyt :dead:

all 3 gimmicks of his [kama in the nation, shango, and godfather] got over. Papa shango is definitely marks vs. smarks thing; if you were smart to the business, you hated shango...if not he was incredible. Shango was what smarttened me up because i was like ":leostare: they wouldn't let someone doing voodoo in there..." but before that it was legit...plus he was jacked at the time.

to adults...he was boogyman status but without the comic relief

Yeah, to be fair, it does coincide with a period where kayfabe got blown to shreds for all of us... :francis:

When he started wearing those pants along with balding, that's when I truly learned the meaning of :flabbynsick:

When he wore Wranglers and boots :snoop:
it made sense though since it was a 'Street Fight'....idk why HHH dressed normal though.

that was TRULY a GOAT match...probably one of the matches i've watched most
