I buy an sell a lot of audio equipment. If you have the original box and manuals, you get more money. HiFi companies double box too, so you gotta keep both. It’s kinda annoying to keep these boxes around, but I just throw them in a spare room
I used to not, but as I got older and bought more, I got more things that required a return out of the box. It's a bad habit for more mundane products.
I try to toss what I can now, but if it's something special or selective, I try to keep what I can for completion's sake.
In my mind I'll have everything all organized and keeping the box makes sense!!!
But in real life you put the box somewhere it doesn't belong and eventually you toss it It really depends where you are in your life. If you live in a big household then you can only keep so much stuff... or get a bigger house. I think it's only a good idea if it's unopened or something you're planning on reselling one day.
Depends on the item. I have the boxes to all my consoles in my attic. Also have the boxes to all my camera and audio gear. Whatever I feel like MIGHT have some resale value I keep the box for.
