Also for the firearm enthusiasts here whether pro or against arming teachers wouldn't something like an mp5k, mp7, p90, g36c, etc be more practical than a pistol?

Teaching is arguably one of the most stressful careers in the workplace and we want to add to the stress by allowing them to pack heat in the classroom. This would be an insane idea. I could see the amount of students of color getting 'accidentally' shot skyrocketing. Even police officer are armed and they get it wrong at times. Worst yet teacher will go insane if an active shooter comes into the school.
