The buildup to this fight started Jan 2016
I was there to witness Wilder KO Szpilka
The whole arena was left
at the prospect of witnessing a death in the ring
After the Doc's brought Szpilka back to life, I got up to leave
Right before I went into the tunnel, Fury stormed Wilder's ring and we got this
promo
After this high, nearly everything went wrong for these men in the next 2 years
Fury battling shady dealings + network politics was stripped of his 3 belts and failed 2 drug tests
Fury than became depressed and turned to coke and obesity, shelving himself for 2 years
Wilder in search of big fights was met with resistance from shook contenders & champions
It wasn't until Wilder decided to take on the highly feared Luis Ortiz did things seem to go right
But Ortiz failed a drug test for their proposed November fight and was replaced by Stiverne
Wilder has a true champions resolve so instead of mope and have a dull fight vs Stiverne he did this
Instead of letting the Ortiz fight die, Wilder took it again and did this
So after Anthony Joshua and his owners wasted 4 months of Wilder and the boxing world's time
Wilder didn't let his and the boxing world's desire for another big Heavyweight fight die
He got shyt done and is now facing the Lineal Heavyweight Champion
Wilder is facing the man who beat the man in Fury
Fury is looking for the perfect ending to his comeback by winning the only belt he's never had
And were getting a 50/50 Heavyweight title fight again
Thanks to these men
