OT but I remember seeing this ā€œbadā€ ass little student in the supermarket with his mom…more so mischievous not malicious…maaan that kid was sweating bullets as I was talking to his mom…dude was looking at me like :sadcam: the whole time…it was the weekend tho and he was lucky I could relate to being in his position so when his mom asked how he was behaving in class I held back…on monday tho, I made it clear he’d better turn over a new leaf lol…he gave me no issues after that…wish I could remember his last name…dude should be in his early 30s now lol

You and my wife are better than me. She tells me stories like this too ("such and such mom asked me how he's acting. He was looking scared, so I said...").

I'm like I would have said "You know how, he bad as hell."

That's why I dont teach I guess lol.

I used to gas up when I saw my teachers randomly at the grocery store too but it wasn’t all that. Picture you going to a parent teacher conference with your 4 yr old daughter and he picks her up on some extra shyt. If you don’t feel a way that’s cool we just different.

It’s his niece….

lol in his case he was just overly talkative in class and not doing homework so I didn’t want to get him in trouble over that…we lived in the same neighborhood so I already knew them and he would’ve probably gotten a beating and grounded…if it was something more egregious then I would’ve contacted her (or any other parent) well before I ran into them

She teaches first grade, so her kids mostly do "kid shyt" that would drive me crazy. She (and it sounds like you do too) has the patience and understanding for it to a degree.

Idk how to link people but at Hazel Brown don’t give me the sad face. Wasn’t trying to be disrepectful. I’m just saying there’s a level of respect amongst men that should be maintained regardless of the case. Y’all can call me crazy but I don’t even be huggin my nikkas from grade school woman like that and me and her could’ve known each other beforehand. It’s just respect. That’s just how I go about my business. That’s his niece at the end of the day so I retraced my statement.

it’s his niece and I don’t think he’s a teacher of any sort…everyone’s different but I agree with you…as a male teacher I wouldn’t have hugged anyone’s child even tho it would be completely innocent

We on the same wave. If I ever see my niece it’s hugs and she can get whatever she wants to get wherever we at. I’m a sucker for her. She my only niece amongst mad nephews

Beautiful

My wife teaches. When her students see her in public they be happy as shyt lol. "Hey Teeeacher!" :pachaha:
My sister is a teacher in Chicago. She comes out east often. Bugs me out every time we are in NYC and she is recognized by one of her kids that she taught in Chicago. (She teaches at the same grade school we went to when we were kids)

Good teachers are damn near gods.

Damn shame even when doing good black men are looked at with bad intentions
Breh that’s his niece so I retracted my initial statement, that’s family. Assuming he wasn’t her uncle besides foul intentions I was speaking more towards respect and healthy boundaries, we may just disagree on that.

My favorite teacher ever was Mr.Maddux.8th grade English class.Looked like Cap N Crunch with his hat off & was obsessed with Sigourney Weaver.Just a quirky, eccentric, yet real "man's man" kind of guy. There were times when he'd pull me aside in the middle of class, take me out into the hall, and give me personal fatherly advice about life in general.Just out the blue.Random.Used to bug me out until I got older and started reflecting back in retrospect.Solid muthafukka, man!:wow:........Saw him at a grocery market 10 yrs later.Unfortunately, he didn't remember who I was.He looked to be in bad shape.I think it might've been alzheimers.Even tho he was foggy, I could tell he was happy to see one of his former students. His energy lit up, but his motor skills wouldn't allow the old Mr.Maddux to come out :mjcry:
