Sports is a cultural thing. You guys look at it simply as "well this country as X number of people, so they should have X number of athletes!" but if the culture doesn't recognize a game as something worthwhile and important, why would a country with even a trillion people produce 1 athlete?

You think kids in India know who Tom Brady is? You think kids in China know who Sidney Crosby is? If a kid in India saw a Heat game and was in awe of LeBron, and wanted to play basketball, how would he even go about doing it?

Right. Because they play soccer and basketball and even baseball in those countries.

Dudes are acting like there are hardwood courts, baseball fields, and soccer pitches that are unused in India..

There aren't. They don't exist. Again, China does to some extent, and they have some representation in modern Western sports. But that shyt literally does not exist in India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Pakistan/Nepal/a ton of other Asian countries.
Koreans/Japanese play Soccer/Baseball, it's The Chinese that are basketball fanatics.

Same goes for music

With a population of 1.3 billion you'd think China would be able to produce a top class MC:troll:

If they actually really focused, cared, and dumped a lot of resources into it, it would be one thing.

But Asian culture just doesn't emphasize sports or extracurricular activities in any way. Literally 0 fukks are given about sports. All they care about is getting an education, getting a job, making money, and supporting your family.

I can see the argument that with a billion+ people in each country they should have SOME success in mainstream sports, but if they don't teach it, have the infrastructure to play it, or push kids into pursing it, it's not really possible. China pursues basketball and baseball. India doesn't. And neither country can probably spell football or hockey.
This is the coli...don't bring your LOGIC in here :what:

That China and India suck so bad at sports? Like out of a billion people you can't find 1 person that can run fast to compete as a runner, you can't find 11 players to dominate soccer, etc :dead: I mean on a global scale they are good at what.....women's gymnastics and cricket :mjlol:

shyt is pathetic. :mjpls:
:usure: you think china is not investing resources into that right now??

Your post would mean something except China DOES pump insane amounts of money into their sports programs.

Only basketball... And they have representation in basketball...

I'm sure China is trying extremely hard to enter the NBA/NFL/Nascar/PGA/Tennis/UFC/Boxing markets :troll:
