I think they really just need more time to figure it out. Donovan might not be the right coach to help them figure it out offensively though. The good thing is that they’re playing well defensively.

Melo isn't a great anymore and Paul George is one of the most overrated players in the league. Mostly everybody saw this failure coming except for the people running the Thunder:francis:

I sure as hell didn't see them struggling so bad. I thought they would be a WCF candidate. They still can be but it's not looking good.

They wish they were that good.

Yea people keep tryna play that “It’s early struggles just like the Heatles had” card like there’s anyone currently on OKC half as historically good as prime Wade and Bron.

These guys are the Dwight/Nash Lakers 2.0: One old star on the verge of being washed crudely jammed together with another, more selfish one who’s never gonna tailor his game for the greater good despite all evidence to the contrary.

Hell
All this talk about the coach and the thing is the cacs love him, all these experts are blaming russel or mel and not billy so I don't know what's gonna happen but billy will be coach before melo gets sent packing, that's for sure.

They won't let a middle aged cac coach who did good at UF walk out before they blame the players for the mishap.

Also Paul George is good but he was never someone who could carry a team, he's a talented player but so was pippen with better defense.

Russell still gets called out of the Lowe Post podcast and Melo gets blamed for being Iso Melo...

IMO Russell is just the real reason, his style of play is too brash and physical and he doesn't seem to wanna change his game, still chasing all the rebounds still having poor defense and bad spacing...

PG is good for certain if they don't turn it around....

Melo is who he always was and he'll be playing for another 3 4 years...

Blaming Melo when he always played ISO ball is a cop out ya'll knew what you were getting, as a matter of fact Melo spaces quite well he just isn't a good passer not does he move well without the ball but OKC won't cut him since he's a 4 who can hit the 3 pretty well.

If Durant can have OKC damn near God level for years, once he leaves they can't repeat that's on Russell....

talent wise, were the warriors team before KD necessarily better than OKC? yet they have been seen as heavy favorite for the title the last few seasons while the media and fans are already copping pleas for OKC. You are not going to tell me that talent wise
Curry,Klay,Green,Bogut and Barnes are better than Westbrook, PG13,melo,Adams and Roberson. at worst, they are equal.

This again proves that the narrative people go with is contingent on how they feel about the team. If it's a team they like that underachieving, they cop pleas and if it's a team they don't like they either dismiss their achievement or go hard as hell on them if they fail to win the ultimate price. same goes for players as well.

Paul George isn't a superstar. I'll leave it at that.

Melo is playing like normal streaky Melo but getting less shots and minutes so can't really blame him

All the blame is on Westbrook at this point as their leader. He's supposed to be the MVP and "best point guard in the game"

All that said, Okc has lost to some teams for stupid reasons. They play better than their record shows
