Have you ever lived in a city with good public transportation? When I lived right outside of DC I didn't have a need for a car. It would take something like 10 months to put 3000 miles on my car. If you are paying a note, that's a waste of money. Especially if your job refunds you for public transportation.
If you need a whip, you can either rent or get a zip car.
