It's hard to be a white point guard in the NBA, period. The amount of speed from the position, not to mention the screen/roll game makes it virtually impossible to defend, so you have to make up for it, with quickness, length, the ability to fight over screens and being able to score.Guys like Rubio, TJ McConnell, Sergio Rodriguez, Calderon, they can't defend anyone, although Rubio comes the closest, but then he's a WOAT shooter in league history.
No one likes to admit it, but white Americans are afraid of an even playing field where you have to outwork the competition even when they may be more talented than you, which is why they quit so easily. The Euros if they don't make it, it's because they are not talented enough, not because they are afraid (and why would they be afraid, they have been playing on their U-18 teams for years against their American counterparts in international tournaments).
