No single player = a rental at best
how does that make sense? people buy MP games, and rent or buy/resell SP gamesSP player games that can provide 100's of hours of gameplay are few and far between

Makes sense to me. I prefer single player with a great story, bosses etc. to mindless multi player shooters.
regardless of what you prefer, if a game's 6-10 hours long, people are more likely to rent or resell it

Yea these dudes are a bit weird comparing MP fps games to SP games to try and discredit them because "LAST MORE HOURS!!". Infamous for example will easily net me about 20-30 hours since it has two different playthroughs and side stuff.comparing a great story to an online experience isn't fair... for the FPS. most of these FPS multis serve as placeholders. to give me that fix until the next years version. I've master prestiged in every COD that had that option. had many epic battles, but they are all forgettable and pale in comparison to the experience of TLOU story. I remember dialogue.. how I felt and reacted during critical moments. That is quality entertainment that immerses you. Movies rarely exceed 2 hours... yet i have a library of quality experiences that I revisit. Rarely if ever do I put in an old COD. why when I have the new one to satisfy that fix of going through the motions.
I will say that I thoroughly enjoy BF4. an experience I haven't felt in a FPS in many years. it has curbed my urge to buy Ghosts. even still I will not hesitate to put that to the side for metal gear and second son this week, bc the potential for an epic story is second to none.....
There are dope SP FPS games. People just love to pretend that Bioshock, Half Life, Metroid Prime, Halo SP, Far Cry, Deus Ex, etc. don't exist to prove a point.
You buy FPS games for their campaign?

Sounds like pure conjecture there buddy. How do you know how many people rent MP games? Also a SP game doesn't have to provide "100's of hours" of gameplay to have high replay value. A game like OOT which only spans to something like 20 hours can be so fun that people replay them all the time. Best example is Super Mario games; it's ritualistic to beat Super Mario 1 daily or weekly around my way. As long as a game is FUN and addictive, then replay value shouldn't matter.how does that make sense? people buy MP games, and rent or buy/resell SP games
