Both full time? I've been looking into picking up a cloud engineering position to add onto my current role, but shyt might be too much
Yeah both full time. It's not that bad, as long as you can do your first job in your sleep, it only takes me about 2 hours of real focus to get the work done at each job. The rest is just meetings. Just don't try to be a hero at job number 2 and be okay with being an average to below average performer.

Both remote or is one hybrid?

10 or so years in supply chain. Fortunate enough to be making good money and gaining some great experience around the county and internationally. I think my personal life has maxed out my growth at least for a couple of years. Having young kids makes it harder to take on more responsibility and be effective. So I’ll gain more knowledge before going to a director level.

Been debating staying with a huge company or going to a smaller company and taking a higher title.

Even now I know I could get a director level at a mid size company or VP level at a small company but I don’t think the pros outweigh the cons right now.

I am in a period of stagnation by choice. I make pretty good money but am starting to question if I want to be doing this for the next 30 decades (when I reach retirement age).

Im at the point in my life where I don't think I could go any higher unless I have my own company. Im a Lead Site Reliability Engineer that has a salary that pretty much places me in the top %5 salary wise. I guess I just have to keep on learning and getting better everyday...but career wise I'm pretty set

Mid-level manager in logistics for the last 10 years.

Campaigning for 2 jobs internally, kind of out of my normal scope of work. 1 might take me around the world. I make damn good money, I'm just a bit disillusioned with the industry and where I fit into it. I've got a gameplan to exit soon. Always wanted to not be a slave to the 9-5 by the time I was 40. I just need to stay focused.

If it doesn't work out, as I said, I make damn good money, working in Supply Chain will always have me in demand, and in the grand scheme the work isn't that difficult...just frustrating at times. For what it's worth, I never wanted to be higher than a director level. Anything beyond that demands too much of your time.

9 years in Engineering, and been in management for the past 3. Im senior management now, so I guess the next step for me is being a director. My boss, the director of planning and purchasing, wants me to take his spot but I don’t really want it. I’m mid 6 figures now, my work/life balance is decent, and the work I do isn’t too tough. I also have assembled a good team that makes my life easier.

It sounds bad, but I’m quite content. I want to do this 5 or 6 more years, and then get out and live my life. Been saving for that currently.

Do any of y’all work for small and/or private companies? I’ve always worked for big, public companies, but currently work for a small, private company.

I work around a bunch of Georgia good ole boys, but I’ve got more freedom than I’ve ever had. Plus, growing up in the Sipp, it’s pretty easy to maneuver these folks.

Been in the feds for 15 years. Looking at jumping into a subject matter expert or technical expert role where I'm at. Got recommended for a supervisor role but I do NOT want to deal with the headaches of federal supervision.

Been in HR for the last 10 years. Have my Masters and certification, so there's not much more I need to go further beyond continued experience.

Up until 3 years ago I was in fairly middle management roles making ok money in University settings before I decided to step outside of it. In that time I've job hopped around 3 different places, all in Director level capacities, 6 figures, before returning to the University I was at, but a higher, better paying role than where I was before.

I learned over the 3 places I've worked at that I have no desire to be in or near Senior Management spaces and if I can make comparable money with less visibility and less need to work with organizational leadership, I'll take it. Worst experience was working with/under a CEO. I'm making great money, hybrid work schedule, low stress but challenging and fulfilling work and I'd be content to stay in my current position for the next 20 years, contribute to my retirement and enjoy their match, retire, just enjoying annual increases and keeping the flexibility to enjoy my family life.

If anything, I'd probably try to venture into more personal/passion projects for additional income flow, just for my own joy.

In short, as it relates to my core profession, I'm good where I'm at.
