Start with family history then research American history as it pertains to Afican Americans; slavery, reconstruction, jim crow, civil rights, etc. Then go to Africa and learn I guess starting with ancient Egypt (or should I say Kemet..) then moving forward, I don't even know how to approach it Africa has so much historical information. You could always check out some John Henrik Clarke vids on youtube, he drops some great knowledge and books to read.
Oddly, one of the first things I really got into with history was Ghengis Khan because of a old game I use to play call of age of empires

but yeah old I stand by that. One thing about that game that always irked me though was the absence of any African civs. I read they were supposedly working on a expansion pack for it but I guess shyt happened

Cool, but i don't really like to read at computer. I prefer a phisycal book
add them to a phone or ebook reader.
If I were you, I'd grab them anyway as this collection is literally priceless, you'd be very hard pressed to even acquire even 1/4 of these books in physical form.
