I was looking into the numbers because every time I hear people say Kyrie got 99 layup and no other guard can finish at the rim like him.

Has the #1 overall pick, pepsi with uncle drew....all stars...instagram/vine and handles really got everyone fooled :lupe:

I used last year stats instead of this year because it had 82 games played and Kyrie has only played so little this year.

Westbrook shouldn't shoot 3's but thats another story for another day

Even the rookie jordan clarkson

Looks like to me that there are plenty of PG's better than him :dwillhuh:

The best in the league

dragic.png

:merchant: I see why he put up 3 straight seasons of shooting over 50% from the field....Only LeGM is better than Dragic :merchant: and Dragic is 6'3 :merchant: Dragic is really mini lebron :merchant: and these are all lay ups because he doesn't even dunk :merchant:

Maybe I'm missing something everyone else sees....anyone care to enlighten me :ld:

i) Don't just look at their percentages but also take into account how many attempts they have near the rim or heavily favor one side of the rim (e.g. Clarkson only takes half the attempts that Kyrie does near the rim - it's similar to calling Kawhi a better 3-pt shooter than Curry)
ii) Those percentages don't take into account the # of players defending the shot or the difficulty of the shot
iii) Those percentages don't take into account the game situation or the defensive attention
iv) No player in the league has a better finishing skillset than Kyrie, with either hand
v)
vi)

Eh, I think Isaiah Thomas and Curry are actually pretty damn close in finishing skill set. I think little IT is actually one of the most creative and talented finishers in the league.

IT is definitely up there. But neither can absorb contact and contort their body and finish like Kyrie can, in all the different ways (with either hand). Curry probably has near-equal touch but not the array of counter moves (in the air) or ability to manipulate his body.

Curry doesn't have that body control but is touch and creativity is so good that it's almost impossible to stop anyone. He also has a good eye for using angles and his body to cut off defenders.

But they're all elite and the difference is in inches.

The site he used must be calculating from different distances, cause Bball reference has kyrie at 60%, but his 3 to 10ft is at 34% so this site may factor in different distances for at the rim shots.

edit: His 14-15 stats

why do you think they won 48 games when they were projected to win like 17 that year.....it's like philly coming into this season and winning 48 games.....Dragic and Bledsoe really carried that team. They were on the rise and they fukked it all up. They brought in I.T, drafted Tdot Ennis, and had dragic playing off the ball with him at the 3.

I.T and Bledsoe in the backcourt. He hated it and demanded a trade :manny: suns are now back to being irrelevant. Now in the suns defense, they weren't sure if they were going to pay Bledsoe because he was coming off a Knee injury so they wanted some insurance.

If you watch the games, you'd know Kyrie is the best finishing guard ever. No one's close.

Stats don't show degree of difficulty and when there 2 forward under the rim. Some people only take easy layups. Kyrie takes it at dudes.
No to mention how much he gets fouled during those finishes
