Where did this generation of consoles go wrong????

It is well known that this generation is a wrap as some games hasn't been well received. The power of the systems are sorely lacking as games struggle to reach 1080P 60FPS. We have received numerous title re-releases such as Last of Us, Heavy Rain, Halo, Gears. Microsoft is focusing on PC for a money grab.

The online component didn't make a huge jump besides online recording and streaming.

But with the release of PS4K and most definitely an Xbox. What happen?

Nobody wanted to take risks before launch because nobody knew what to expect for this gen. Turns out the market was still very strong and now that's why you see more risks with new hardware, VR etc.

i do see an enormous amount of people semingly enjoying the pursuit of any and all flaws to trash games with this gen though...

I think they went wrong trying to keep the console prices low. fukk that...ppl will pay more if it's a quality product. If my PS4 or X1 was on par with my PC or close to it I'd pay $5-600 for the consoles

I told y'all.

Sports games are key. And not just sports games, but the "casual" gamer market that offers VARIETY.

Instead, the video game industry put all their eggs in the FPS/RPG basket, and it bit them in the ass. They thought the "blockbuster" can't-miss homerun games would sustain the entire generation and it doesn't work like that.

I unno, I've had plenty of games to play every year. Street Fighter V is probably my favorite multiplayer game since CoD4.

Seems like some of the big games just scratched the surface to where the devs want to go with them... now that could be because they still had the previous gen of consoles in mind for sales, or because the current consoles just aren't strong enough to deliver fully what some of these games set out to do.

How? I feels like the most basic SF game I've ever played

It's simple to pick up and play casually, but if you wanna play serious there's so much depth to it. I could play for months and still be learning new shyt and getting better.
