Something that I was thinking about in regards to artists within groups and either being call wack overall or the weakest link. This thread is a spin off from the Turk of the Hot Boys being called the weakest link thread I posted awhile ago

In regards to U-God imo I never felt dude was wack and I also will state that he had some of the nicest verses on Wu Tang Forever and his solo efforts were decent .

So give y'all opinions it's all discussion so imo no one wrong here it's just a consensus I see on here and on old funky ass/dead ass WuTangCorp forums

he was always a good team player as a group member but it was officially accepted that he's wack when he dropped his first solo album.

:mjlol:
“…back rub, Calgon, take me away…”

Nah. I think he’s just the least popular. I even liked “rumble”. I don’t think he’s wack, just an easy target because he wasn’t as easily received as others in the group, and his delivery was simple. If you read his lyrics, a lot of it looks like some cool spoken word you’d hear at somebody’s open mic.

This is actually a good reason for people to consider him wack lol.

I think Uey never really understood what made him a dope addition to the group. He has an incredible voice, and the ability to ride any track perfectly. He's had incredible verses, but he didn't really put it altogether until Dopium & Keynote Speaker.

rza was way worse nikkas just gave him a pass cause he made beats
I respect RZA rhyming but I could never enjoy his verses. Lol I low key zone out when RZA starts rapping. I couldn’t quote anything but:

“…In paw-ticka-luh, my beats travel like a Vortex,
Through your spine to the top of your ce-WE-BWAL cortex…”

Side note I didn’t realize so many New Yorkers don’t pronounce the “BR” sound or R’s, in general. It comes out like “bwuther” instead of “brother”. It throws me off when AZ does it too. Not a bad thing, it just always make me think twice when I hear it.
