Coming off Restless(which blew him up) This album for some strange reason felt "different" and it didn't bang out like Restless. It had its bangers like Symphony for a X, Multiply, Say My Name but for the most part it lacked something and he declined from there... What you guys think happened?

Never the biggest XZ fan, but this was my high school era, from what I remember, it had that bad West Coast production, XZ never really had an identity as a rapper, it had the worst kind of JellyRoll/Rick Rock/Dr Dre throwaways

A really bad song 'Choke me spank me pull my hair", it reminded me of Meth's 2004 Def Jam album.

I think X came back in 2005 with Mitchy Slick talking real gangster lol

Yeah he was always known as a Dope spitter.. when he merked B Please.. He came across as a dude that can just get in and kill beats.. But like you said, He didn't really show who he truly was.. Plus I remember him losing alot of his stripes when Snoop dissed him on Pimp Slapped

I liked that album but it would have always been hard to follow an acclaimed album like Restless. The expectations were high. But taking it as a standalone album, it was pretty solid to me.

Yeah if I'm not mistaken, that restless album had momentum cuz he was on tour with Dre and them..

He wasn't going to have a better set up than that

I was really hyped for this as Restless was one of my favorites at the time.

It just lacked edge, and felt a bit contrived and overly polished. Eminem dissing JD on there seemed like the biggest moment that came from it. The bonus records were also the highlights. Restless still had some of the grit from Xzibits earlier stuff and better production. Restless felt like a cousin to 2001 and MMLP
