Thru mutual friends. The crazy part is we had been around each other moving in the same circles all our lives and didn’t officially meet until our mid 30s. We run into people all the time that we both know that get geeked seeing us together. Grew up less than 10 minutes from each other. She even knows one of my sisters. It’s crazy that we both had been in long relationships and married relatively young. When we met she had been divorced for a little over a year and I was recently separated. She was cautious with me at first becuz of what I was going thru and I definitely wasn’t trying to get into anything serious. But it felt like we’d known each other for years becuz of our backgrounds. So we just moved real slow.
She knew I wasn’t ready for a relationship but she still wanted the d from time to time
She supported me thru my divorce and allowed me my freedom. Seeing each other once a week turned into damn near everyday and I found myself cutting off other women. More and more of her stuff was ending up at my house. Over that time we became best friends till some point about a year ago we established a relationship

Complimented her on her outfit and look during class one day, and next thing I know I’m getting a text from her saying she wanted to hang out. My boy gave her my number. She kept a nikka fed during college, and kept me up to date in all my classes, even getting me through calc 2. Told her when I proposed to her, that no matter what happens between us, I got her forever. Been together 8 years
