also some places still have public housing, also if you making $10 you qualify for really low income housing that people just making barely over minimum wage don't qualify for. the slightly above minimum wage, but still way below even middle income people really get fukked. since a lot of them can't even qualify for the low income housing, but still not making shyt. definitely not enough to make "3x" the cheapest rent in a lot of places.
