Where do we rank George Carlin as a stand up comedian?

i'm more a fan of the carlin of the 80s and 90s because those are the specials that i grew up with. You Are All Diseased is quite possibly the GOAT stand up special imo. At one point I knew it word for word. My top 5 comedians of all time would have to be Carlin, Pryor, Rock, CK, O'neal. Honorable mentions going to Bill Hicks, Mitch Hedberg, Bill Burr, Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, etc.

Not only is his social commentaries and observations the most on-point shyt I've ever heard, but his vocab and and ability to study the way humans work is amazing.

George Carlin may be my favorite celebrity ever, let alone comedian.

he wasn't really hilarious to me, but more of a philosopher. Which is not a bad thing. I'm entertained by his work, but I watch stand up comedy to laugh my ass off.

He has more material than most of these guys, but not BETTER material...
