I would need to really evaluate to see where I personally stand on this. Off talent would be higher than off productivity but still has some dope shyt. My instincts say around the top 30. But will try to think who I think is better...

I'm gonna think of people I rate above Ras to try and help me see where a rough ranking is, in no order and rough....

1: 2 Pac
2: Biggie
3: K-Rino
4: KRS-One
5: Guru
6: Rakim
7: Big Daddy Kane
8: AZ
9: Nas
10: Scarface
11: Raekwon
12: Cormega
13: Brother Ali
14: Jay Z
15: Slick Rick
16: Bizzy Bone
17: Common
18: Canibus
19: Z-Ro
20: Kool G Rap
21: Chino XL
22: Wise Intelligent

Mmm....

23: Prodigy
24: Pharaoh Monche
25: Kool Moe Dee
26: Fat Joe
27: Talib Kweli

Some other names I'm thinking of too, but need more time to think, so I think my original estimation of somewhere like 31-35 may have some merit.

That will be my vote for now but will change it if necessary.

P.S. Don't get mad at my choices above him lol, I'm a Ras Kass fan so chill lol.....

Its kinda hard to rank him. One of the greatest lyricists ever but his catalog aint nothin special. Soul on Ice is his best album but its a 3.5/4 mic album at best

I agree, he's a great lyricist and a great talent but it is hard to rank him, yeah Soul On Ice was superb lyrically, around 4 mics to me. I originally rated Blasphemy a 4-4.5 mic album. But other than that his albums have been a bit hit and miss song wise, still gems and jewels but maybe not as consistent as you would like. I hope that will change now cause dude is a great talent. But for now has to be around that 30 ish slot for me, I think he has top 20 potential though.

I love his music, it's very hard to rank him. He would be in my top 30. All I can tell you that Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross, Jeezy, Drake, ain't no damn in my top 30.

I'll be honest with you. I've never heard of Rick Ross albums, Jeezy albums, Drake albums, I just ain't feeling them. OFC, I heard Lil" Wayne because of back then with BG, Juvenile, Turk, era. The only Jeezy album I heard was Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 cause of my cousin got this album and he was bragginng about this album, I listened to it and I ain't feeling it. He sounds like he belong to No Limt. Last time I heard was Tha Carter after that I ain't even bother to listen to rest of his latery albums.....I just don't like them as rapper. These n!ggas ain't dope to me. These n!ggas nothing impressive me at all.

Cool, I've actually heard all of them, Drake is the worst of that bunch to me. Rest have some decent shyt at times, but Drake everything he's done is wack to me. I can see where you're coming from, especially when you compare them to lyricists and MC's such as Ras Kass, the lyricism and depth levels are on another level.
