its hard to say because.simon has some x factors other than he could have given a bhop a hell of a fight esp if they fought later in bhop's reign..he was a good fighter with real potential...solid boxing skills and could punch but he had a small window of prime

Middleweight has been terrible for the better part of the past 30-40 years...cept for the late-80's/early-90's when you had Roy, Toney, B-Hop, Nunn, McClellan, McCallum, Jackson, Benn, Eubank, Collins, Kalambay, Johnson, Graham all in or around the same division at the same time...and sadly, half of these dudes didn't even fight eachother.

very true..and even bhop wasn't that head and heels above the MW division in the mid and late 90s...outside of the roy loss dude arguably escaped a defeat against segundo mercado in the first fight

the middleweight champions in that time frame...there were the b level - jorge castro and john david jackson...maybe william joppy i guess..then you had champs like julio cesar green and hacine cherifi
